Speedo, turn signal auto cancel, odometer malfunction
If anyone else has had this problem, which I'm sure you have, it was an easy fix. I had no movement in my speedometer but it was still back-lit. The odometer wasn't reading miles I put on. My turn signals were not auto-canceling. Picked up new Speed Sensor from the shop for $60 bucks. A little pricey for a magnet attached to a wire. Guys at the shop said you just plug and play but that aint exactly true. You can locate the little bugger on the right side of the bike just above the transmission. One allen head screw holding it in. To remove the part you have to take the plastic swingarm shield off or you can't get to the connection point. Two screws on the bottom and it's off. Now, how they wedged this wire in as much as they did from the factory must have been done by someone who was abused as a child b/c it is extremely frustrating to get loose and will **** you off. Once that's over its a piece of cake just put everything back on. Just finished a little while ago and everything is back to working order. Good luck everyone.
