hey guys.. getting ready to put a set of drag bars on my softail and was wondering about the width... what is the width of the drag bars on some of your bikes... i have a set that is 27" on the bench but im worried that they are too narrow.. thanks a bunch.
which softail? i just had a set made by BR Customs for my nitetrain that are 28" wide. I like the narrow width for lane-splittin in california. To me they are comfy my arms are straight out at about shoulder width.... Go to the BR Customs website and there is an excellent "how-to" page to measure what is comfy for handlebars ....
most t-bars are approx 31 inches wide. I have Carlini bars on 2 of my bikes...
i have the wide drag bars on my 02 fxst and i love them they are 38" with the grips on them, had to use long stem mirrors with stock risers hope this helps

Hey man, do you have any pictures of the new BR Customs on your train? I'm looking into some new low drag bars for my bike and wanted to see how your setup looks. Thanks!

Thanks hksigman. I like the fat low look of the Carlini lowdowns. They are definitely an option I am considering. I'm also thinking about the biltwell tracker bars with a 1" or 2" rise. I'll have to look for that train you mentioned with stock bars and 4" risers. I think I still have that old setup somewhere in the garage.
RE: El Cajon HD - I won't be able to ride for a couple weeks, messed up my ankle. Have a good time. Need to catch up with you sometime and check out the bikes.
