Thanks hksigman. I like the fat low look of the Carlini lowdowns. They are definitely an option I am considering. I'm also thinking about the biltwell tracker bars with a 1" or 2" rise. I'll have to look for that train you mentioned with stock bars and 4" risers. I think I still have that old setup somewhere in the garage.
RE: El Cajon HD - I won't be able to ride for a couple weeks, messed up my ankle. Have a good time. Need to catch up with you sometime and check out the bikes.
Hey sorry about the ankle
look up "willyp" for the bike. He has some thick clean aftermarket 4 inch risers and kept the stock drag bars. That was my motivation to get some BR Custom drag bars made.
The lowdowns were a blast to ride. It made the bike feel to me like a supermotard/dirtbike with the low wide bars....

I've seen Willyp's bike, he has a really good looking train. You and my brother almost have me talked into the lowdowns. Sometimes it would be nice to pretend to be on a supermotard while I'm riding the train.
They are probably a little wider than what you are looking for but they definitely have a good drag style. I think those bars along with the 2 1/4" risers would give a good look. Have you seen these in person or seen any pics of these on a softail? I couldn't find much.

Havent seen the Roland Sands bars on anything besides the web.
Dr V-twin, I'm curious to see your wife's setup as hk mentions. In the meantime, here are a couple pics (with and without risers) of the RSD Flat-out bars that I found on the web. I think I would definitely need risers to clear the tank on my train.
punk
that 2nd pic has the RS spacers on it-the brushed silver pieces...
If you look at my avatar pic, i have Carlini Piston Risers with a set of Carlini drag bars on my deluxe. The risers are roughly 1 1/2 inches tall. With that set up i dont hit my tank...
heres a couple of pics of my nite train with BR Customs bars. The bars are 4 inch risers, 28 inches end to end, 1 1/2 inches thick and 1 1/2 inch pullback.
Also is a pic of my deluxe with Carlini Piston Risers and Carlini Dragbars. I have about 1/4 inch clearance above my tank on my deluxe with this set up...

Thanks for the pics. Both of your setups look awesome. Do you think the the clearance (1/4 inch) would be the same on a night train with the carlini risers and carlini dragbar set up? Where did you find the Carlini dragbars? I couldn't find the same ones you have on their site.
Also, did you see darktrak's setup on the night train picture thread? I really dig that look but it sucks that his bars hit the tank.
