Default Heritage Springer saddlebags

Good evening everyone. I've run a search and read what I could on Heritage Springer bags on a Deluxe. I have an '08 Deluxe and I am about to buy either HD bags or BossBags Springer bags (model 37). My hesitation is having passenger floor boards that are the same as the rider floor boards and not knowing if the Springer bags will fit. I can't find anyone at the local HD shop that can absolutely say one way or the other, so I thought I'd run it out here to see if any of you have that setup or know if it'll work or not. I have V&H True Duals, but that won't interfere with the bags...thanks for any help you may be able to render!

Rider footboards for the pass? Hmm. Pretty sure that won't
work. Also the bags won't work on a Deluxe with the stock
exhaust.
You are on the right track though. Those bags will look good.

Clarifications are in order and I'd like to see what you come up with. PICS !

Hi Santo - I just got 2003 springer saddlebags for my 2006 deluxe. They look just like yours, but when I went to mount them I realized I do not have a hole in my strut cover where the rear bolt on the bag is supposed to go. Did you have the same issue? Did you drill a hole and remove the bold on the inside that goes into the fender? Or something different? Thanks

OP

Good choice on the Boss bags #37, I have a set and they are top of the line . Big, well made and fit close with easy on and off in a few seconds.

I would call or e mail Boss Bags, I think the guy I talked to was Greg and he was very helpful.

IMO they will fit with passenger floor boards but the floorboards may be almost usless as the bags will cover a large part of them. Also as already said they wont work with stock pipes.

See picture

Hayden wrote that he has V&H True Duals so exhaust shouldn't be a problem. I have a 2006 Deluxe with V&H True Duals and Boss Bags. Only difference is I didn't go with the 37 bags, I think I went with the 40's (if these are the newer and biggest. Wish I could tell you about passenger boards but I ride solo except for my sons every once in a while so i have pegs. Good luck.

for whatever reason, they did not include this third mounting point on the deluxe struts in 06. I"ve read that folks have just swapped their struts for heritage struts which do include this mounting point.

probably won't with stock pipes...

with most system they will... as far as fitting, most of us will make them work...

IMO the springer bags is the nuts..........

I'd have them cept the $$$$$$$ is over the top and its hard to find them with the fringe still on them...
Which I would want....

Just this spring I order a Elk hide and redid ALLLLL the fringe on my bike.... including the bags and top lid only on the bags.
