I jsut spent a few minutes talking to Bian from Ricor about their intiminators for the front end to smooth out the ride. He was extremely helpful and answered all my questions although I won't be able to completely explain how these work until I install them.
These are similar to the Race Tech gold valves, but they offer a better ride than them due to their dual properties. My front end has never had anything done to it except thicker fork oil so I am quite excited to see how this improves my ride.
I spend a lot of time riding canyons and am hoping this is the answer to my front end dive and excessive fork travel. It should really smooth out the ride too.
I can also get you guys the intiminators at a great price if you are interested. Retail is $289, PM or email me at DREW@DRVTWIN.COM for pricing please.
You can put lowering spring in at the smae time, but they do not lower the front end. They sit on top of the damper rod and top out spring. If I wanted my front end lowered I would do it when I install these, but I like my front end stock height.
Post your reveiw b/c I am wanting to lower my frontend at some point.
You know I will. I guess I will be installing them Monday or Tuesday but i won't be able to ride the bike for a few weeks as I am waiting on engine parts and the tranny to be finished along with a few other things. It's gonna be killing me.
Damn drew im gonna have to catch up with the engine mods but my sled needs a few more miles, im waiting on my parts to get back from powder all the mods getting done to my sled are cosmetic hahaha
I have the race tech gold installed in my Heritage and luv it. If these prove to be better than the race tech's anyone with a softail should consider this on their mod list.
