I'm kind of feeling the need for one as well now.Doc would this work with the high roller risers.Just about to start my ape install and was going to go with all chrome controls.I may just use the stock black controls and use the funds for this mod instead.Man it does look real,real,real nice.
With aftermarket risers you cannot use the top cover for the risers that come with the nacelle. that is about all I know so far.
I am using Chubby 1.5" risers with the hidden hardware top clamp (face plate removed) and they fit under the nacelle cover with some trimming to the cover.
Yes it will fit, you just need to carefully cut the shield with a saber saw then smooth it out with a Dermel tool. This is what the insturctions say. I don'r use my shield to offten but this is what I'm going to do.

I don't want to buy the kit if I don't need it. I just want to be able to use my aftermarket shorty risers and apes that I already have on the bike....
