So just to clarify, you can mount the nacelle just by itself and use any aftermarket risers like you have without any problems? You don't have to use the suggested "risers and riser kit"???

Thanks again.
I don't know about any risers, but I'm using the fat risers with out the riser covers. No problems, easy install.
You're very welcome. Its the HD Fat Bar Riser Kit Part #56916-07
Thanks, I can't use those "fat" risers because I've got 1" diam bars.... But from what you have said I'm pretty sure the nacelle will work with the aftermarket shorty risers that I have on my bike.
Anyone got any pics of the nacelle mounted with aftermarket risers?
I'm posting pix in separate posts of my 95 FLSTF Freight Train Nacelle without the clamp cover. It appears that you should be able to use whatever risers and bars you wish this way. The reason my cover is off is that the screw tab cracked and I need a new one. Apparently the dealer had a gorilla installer. If you have a riser cover you aren't using (67992-07, 67957-96 or 67959-96) you want to part with for a decent price give me a call. 85O-5O9-three 6 4 ate. I'm looking to spend about $40. I got a tach and want to mount it to the cover. Hope these photos help.
