I e-mailed Avon the other day to see if they had a wide white wall tire in the works that would fit a 21x3.5" front wheel safely. I'm aware a 90 can be stretched, but not this white boy. Anyway, this is the response:
Thank you for your email and interest in Avon motorcycle tyres. Unfortunately, we have no plans at this time to produce any further white wall sizes. The size you mentioned does come up in conversation quite often and would definitely be one of the first sizes up for consideration if the time comes, but at this time we have nothing planned in the pipeline. And yes, you are correct that fitting up an MH90-21 to a 3.5 rim is in no way recommended and does create a potentially unsafe riding situation.
If you have any further questions please let me know. I will be happy to help out.
I ended up getting a 21 x 3 inch and mounted the 90 WWW from Avon. There are a lot of guys running the 3.5 but I felt the wheel was just too heavy and too wide. It weighs a ton and effects the unsprung weight. Whatever you decide, be sure to run a tube.

Yep i did the very same thing...i went with a 3" wheel because i didn't want to stretch that 90/90/21 Avon onto a 3.5" wheel. Just seemed a bit too much of a stretch. Trust me i do like how a 3.5" wheel looks. Just to bad the tires aren't available yet.
I made the same call to Avon about 1 yr. ago and i was told the same thing as you. So don't expect it any time soon.
