Default exhaust help

I have a 2011 fatboy Lo and I want to change the pipes. I know a few manufactures but I have a question for yall. Where can I find a set of pipes that are loud and throaty?

Tons to choose from.......depends what you like but my bro wanted loud and throaty and picked vance n hines staggard longshots....he got the loud deep growl....check them out.

Ill give them a look. My dads road king is used so his already came loud and throaty I have to 1up him haha

Go to a biker hangout and listen to some as everyone's version of loud and throaty is different.

Samson Exhaust is also a good choice.

As said, there are TONS to choose from. If your primary concern is sound, you could just do slip-ons. If you also want looks and performance, go for a full set. Still, if sound is your main focus, do as Dr. V-Twin suggested. Listen to a LOT of pipes before you buy. Most any new pipe will get you "loud and throaty", but everyone's opinion on sound quality is different.

Do a search on this forum and you will find so much information on exhaust systems that if you read it all, you wouldn't have time to ride.

You'll get a real education here.

As important as sound is, so is build quality, performance and looks. D&D has all of these qualities. They are supurbly engineered sytems and offer baffle changes to suit your engines level of preformance. I researched the forum and magazine articles and D&D seems to be leading the pack.

You didnt mention price range, i got vh staggered short shots off ebay 220 shipped about 6 months ago. One of the best deals i have ever gotten and i love the sound, i feel bad for the neighbors at 5am when i start it up.
