I have a 2011 fatboy Lo and I want to change the pipes. I know a few manufactures but I have a question for yall. Where can I find a set of pipes that are loud and throaty?
Tons to choose from.......depends what you like but my bro wanted loud and throaty and picked vance n hines staggard longshots....he got the loud deep growl....check them out.
As said, there are TONS to choose from. If your primary concern is sound, you could just do slip-ons. If you also want looks and performance, go for a full set. Still, if sound is your main focus, do as Dr. V-Twin suggested. Listen to a LOT of pipes before you buy. Most any new pipe will get you "loud and throaty", but everyone's opinion on sound quality is different.
As important as sound is, so is build quality, performance and looks. D&D has all of these qualities. They are supurbly engineered sytems and offer baffle changes to suit your engines level of preformance. I researched the forum and magazine articles and D&D seems to be leading the pack.
You didnt mention price range, i got vh staggered short shots off ebay 220 shipped about 6 months ago. One of the best deals i have ever gotten and i love the sound, i feel bad for the neighbors at 5am when i start it up.
