Does anyone have pictures of different FRONT and REAR fender installs on A Softail Springer...? Just trying to get the old brain workin for a possible face-lift on the old girl instead of selling her
I really like the fender style of the Heritage front and rear. I also saw a killer rear fender that came down real low in the rear the guy said it was a tail dragger? I have a bob rear and the little front factory fenders now...just need to "see" what it could look like..finding a cool front springer fender is a real B*TCH
Have you tried getting on the websites to some of the fender manufactorers and browsing at the galleries. Even if the gallery doesn't have a picture of your model bike with a particular fender. They will have a picture of say a Fatboy with that type of fender. And then you use your imagination to visualize it on your bike. If they have a picture of a soft tail with that fender, it will look the same on any soft tail. As far as for a FX springer front...........There just ain't alot of choices which "flow" IMO

ok will try that! Thanks, I love the springer just wish I could find a better front fender!! Sounds like the rear fender will be easier to change style-wise so I will start there then figure out something with the front...maybe go fender-LESS?
I actually love the front fender myself. Im putting my new rear fender on sometime soon but I dont like the look of the X-bones without a front fender on. Its just too wide looking and too much open space. Even a small fender on there looks nice to me. But its your choice and thats what matters.
The biggest problem with modding a springer fender set up is suitable fenders. Which is why (I think) you see so many springers running around fender-less. Mounting the things on a springer is a pain. On a standard telescopic fork you mount the fender to the lower section which also contains the wheel. The two parts move together. Clearance is much easier to set up.
Just got done reading an email I got from Klock Werks regarding their stretched rear fenders for softies. They are currently getting ready to get the tooling started for 4, and 6 inch stretched rear fenders for the 200 series rear tire. Just like the fatboy fender only stretchier!! That will be my next mod. can't wait.
