I wish there was an easy way to tell if it has pinholes. I have almost 18k on my bike and the fuel filter has never been changed and the lines haven't either. But it's running like a turd lately. What was everyones "symptoms" that led them to change the lines and filter?
Open the gas cap, stick your ear by the opening, and turn everything on sans hitting the starter. If you hear a hissing sound then it's a good chance you have the pinholes. My fuel pump is maybe 90% quieter when it primes up after I replaced the line.
Yeah I don't have any stalling issues. No real choppiness while idling or running. It just runs really lean and kind of been a dog for the past couple hundred miles. I just filled up the other day on my last ride so I have quite a bit of fuel in the tank. Might explain why I didn't hear a hiss.
Mine did the same thing I replaced all lines including the line that goes to the fuel injection. Used the HD stuff if you heat up the fuel lines with a heat gun they go on easier. I replace all gaskets and screws and fuel filter. Runs great now.

2 yrs ago my 07 had the issue..
On mine. symptoms was after a fill up then ride around 90 miles she'd start cutting out on acclerations..
Fill the tank and she'd run perfect till another 90 miles.. after that I knew what it was, I've read about the pinhole in the gas line for several yrs in here..
Bad thing was I was over 500 miles from home when it started doing it..
Good thing was, Thanks to Charley's Harley in WV I was back on the road in 2 hrs With all new parts in side the tank. She's been perfect since.
So I took a 180 from the gates submersible line and went to HD for the line. Oh excuse me, the "check Valve!" They won't sell you just the line, you have to buy the whole check valve and line attached to it. Figures, a .03 cent piece of plastic hose turned into 46 bucks.
Anyway she's running like a beast, better than ever!
