the bars on my 08 heritage just dont feel right. i rotated them back and although its a little better they just dont come back far enough. my neck and shoulders are killing me. the farther back i adjust them the worse they look cuz theyre not in line with the forks anyway. i wouldnt mind going with a lower style bar that pulls back more and that may allow me to keep the stock cables. any suggestions would be appreciated. i cant afford the $$ to just start buying and trying all different types. thanks for the help. --craig
If you want more pullback with stock cables check out the Wild 1 WO560. 14.5" of pullback. Check out the pics of them here. http://www.wild1inc.com/orderWO560.html
Got mine adjusted back to the max also. Still not enough pb and I don't like the look either so I may swap out the bars this winter. I just put Chubby 518s on my wife's Deluxe and I think I've pretty much narrowed down my search to either those or the Chubby 12.5" apes. Forgot the model but 502 sounds about right.
I wouldn't let the need to change out cables control your buying decision. Get the bars that'll give you the pb and comfort and hopefully the look you want. Took months of research before we found the right bars for my wife's bike.
She ragged on me for the delays as if I was trying to get out of getting new bars for her but in the end she realized that some things you just can't rush. The new bars fit her perfect.
So the first thing you need to do imo is find out how much pb you need. If you have your Heritage bars back all the way I'd say you need at least 13-14".
