Default Speedo/Tach

Does anyone have any idea why this new speedo/tach wouldn't work in a Dyna?

I figured no one would know better than the softtail guys. What do you guys have that the Dyna folks don't?

Thanks in advance!

Because those rubber mounted Dynas shake so much that...

...only kidding...spoofing on a recent thread...

This seems EXTREMELY specific to certain Softail models only:

Fits '11 SoftailŽ models with a 5" Speedometer (except FLSTSE2).

Would you consider this instead? It's close in price.

74723-10

Fits '09-later DynaŽ models with 5" speedometer.

MSRP US $299.95

Thanks for the quick response. I've debated over the speedo/tach gauge you posted for about a month now and finally determined that the only thing I like about it is the price. I was flipping through the GMA catalog and the speedo/tach I posted just jumped out at me. I really like it.

I was hoping I would be able to install it, but only miss out on the functionality quoted below. [Us poor dyna folk don't get hi-tech gadgetry like that on our bikes. ;-) ]

"a gear position indicator generated from engine RPM and vehicle speed"

Our stock Rockers use a 4inch, so that wouldn't fit.

Gee the last time I checked the Dynas didn't even use a guage close to the physical size of the Softails guage. Truth is, mechanically it would probably work just fine, however, where would you mount it? It won't fit on the tank of a Dyna and if you mount it on the handlebar, you would have to find a holder and cup to put it in.
