Default 2003 Heritage

Good Day Boys and Girls,
I need help. I was riding my 2003 Heritage Classic(injected)and for no particular reason all electricity gone and bike dies. I'll wait 20 seconds turn ignition switch back on start the bike and like nothing happened I'm good to go. No it's not me hitting the kill switch . Yesterday, same thing. 30 minutes in everything goes off and bike stops. When I start it back up feels like gas is not getting where it needs to go. Obviously an electrical issue, but what? has this ever happened to anyone else? As you can see I'm no mechanic, but I'd like a heads up before heading to my HD dealer. You could possibly help me save a few $$$$$.
Thanks

I think that you have a main relay that is going bad. Seems to be that is what happens when it gets corroded and starts to fail. Just an idea....

Thanks for the reply, any idea what that can cost? Is it better to have it done at a local H-D dealer or any shop trusted shop can do?
Thanks again

The relay is a simple plug in item. An indy would probably be your best friend for the replacement. Or you could get a manual and do it yourself.

The manual is about 60.00 and the relay is ??.??

It's worth the investment.

Check your battery cables for how tight they are first. If they are not tight this can happen. Then move on to the relay. It is not very expensive either. The relay is in the fuse box under the seat. Also pull teh relays and check for corrosion along with the battery cables.
