I have a question and maybe someone can help me out. I'm replacing the gas tank on my 2000 Night Train, and I was wondering does any softail tank mount up? I was wanting to go with a different style tank but wasnt sure if all softail tanks mount up the same, or if it is take extra fabrication to put the tank on.

 

Should mount right up. I put a tank form a Heritage on my Springer with no problem but just to be sure I would go to your local dealer and check the part #'s in the books to make sure.

Also...My parts book list's the same part # for both Carb and FI so I don't think that is a concern either.
