Default open primary suggestions?

so im new here as u all can see, so hello everyone. I need some suggestions.i have decided to switch to an open primary on my 08 night train hard tail, and need some suggestions from anyone who has open primary experience. here are my questions.

* which company do you suggest for an open primary?
*what is the difficulty level installing one. base difficulty off the fact that i built my motor.
*how much torque can one run on a open primary and what size belt. im putting 126 ft/lbs at the wheel.
* what are the down sides to an open primary besides my jeans getting sucked up into it.

I have owned Primo and BDL. Primo is better IMO but BDL is still great. They are easy to install just follow the instructions perfectly. For example BDL calls for LOTS of red loctite on the tranny splines themself or they will wash out. Lots of people fail to do this (for whatever reason). BDL is also cheaper. You should be fine running either the BDL 3 incher or Primo Brute IV with that motor. But it wouldn't hurt to give them a call.

I never found a down side to one. No fluid, replacing the clutch is a freaking snap, replacing the belt is a snap, and I love the sound they make. Some people don't like the sound so that could be a down side. Oh and the clutch pull on the Primo is much easier than the BDL due to the Primo having a diaphram spring. But an easy pull set up will help that.

Couldn't have said it better myself... Yeah what he said... lol I love my BDL the sound and the look... Not having to change primary fluid is just a added plus...

Rigid NT with 126 ft/lbs at the wheel! Sounds cool. Got some more details and pics? Would love to see it. Aftermarket frame or welded on hard tail?

Have you all seen the Contrast Cut Primary by Performance Machines. Bad Ace looking primary. Very high price, but looks nice! Especially on a bike that has been blacked out.
