Default newbie needs a little advise

I just picked up a 03 softail classic. It's 100 aniv. with a 103, stage one, and tons of crome. Anyway, I need new tires, rotors, and pads. Should I stick with OEM parts from the stealership or buy aftermarket? What am I looking at for parts and labor? ball park? I figure tires should be 300, rotors 300, pads 80, and labor I have no idea...

If they have to take the rim/tire off do they still charge you labor on the brakes?

Thanks, Tim

Hydraulic bike lift from Kragen/Checkers = $50-75

Service manual for your bike = $60

Money saved doing stuff yourself = Priceless!!

Seriously, for $100 you can get the stuff you need to do the rotors and pads yourself. It's actually very easy if you just take your time. There are little things you may have to take a step or two backwards to correct what you should have done earlier but that's only the first time you do it. Rotors you can get anywhere, just make sure they're guarantee them not to be warped if you buy used (pretty common). Pads I will just get from the dealer since they're aren't crazy expensive. Tires you can get from any Cycle Gear or such shop for a little less. As an example, I got my rear tire brand new on ebay for $78 after shipping. The dealer wanted $130. Take some time to shop around and do the homework. You'll be glad you did.
