OK, I F@#! UP!!!! I am leaving for bike week in OC Maryland in 2 hours ( with this little hottie from work that I have been trying to hook up with for 8 months ) and there was a bit of slop in my throttle so being a stupid *** I decided I would adjust the cables a bit to take the play out. Now it is sticking! I turned the adjusters back to where they were and it is still sticking. I opened the throttle cover on the bars and the 2 cables ( 2010 fatboy-3000 miles) are on and in there groves. Anyone have any ideas and fast! I know it is a long shot as it is 05:15am but.......H E L P!!!!!!!
I have adjusted tons of cables before but this one has me baffled. Did I twist the cable somehow by turning the adjusters? Is there something I am missing here?
Checked it and backed it all the way out thinking it was rubbing somehow. If it isn't broke don't fix it is my motto from now on.
Nothing better that being in the driveway at 6am trying to work on a bike-LOL
Make sure you didn't accidentally twist the throttle lock (the black star shaped thingy right below the throttle handle) while you were adjusting the cables. I dunno if the 2010's have it but that has happened to me before
