seems like any machine shop that can stamp E.P.A into a set of pipes will be doin A-OK once this bill passes
Harbor Freight sells the metal stamp set, A-Z plus 0-9, for less than ten bucks. Don't know if you could pass a set off as approved or not, but it may be worth it. Of course I am in NC, and so far no issues. I live near the 29 Expressway around Danville Va, and I can hear all kinds of highway noises from a mile away, it echoes up the creek bottom. Live and let live, for Gods sake.
Yep...it ain't the same California anymore. Orange County is a pain in the ***.
Couple of weeks ago I was cruising Laguna beach with the lady, we stopped at Las Brisas to eat. Parking spot right in front of the bar. Go to load the meter and theres a sign that says "Quiet Zone. No motorcycle parking." The whole flippin street! So, F'em...we left. I'll spend my money somewhere else.
I live in S. CA. and I don't think they have more important things to think about than Joe Blow's loud motorcycle.
CA isn't the way it used to be....it is very conservative. Orange County is so tight you can hear the squeaking all the way to the Bay and that's pretty far away.
What will the Governator do? I hope he jack's 'em all by vetoing this bill on his way out the door.
Not to argue with you about if California is conservative or not, but what I read tells otherwise. IOU's to workers, high state debt and the failing local economies are more important than loud pipes.
It would be cool though to see Governator to veto this bill.
"In Huntington Beach, residents often complain about loud motorcycles, said Lt. Russell Reinhart with the Huntington Beach Police Department"
Isnt that funny Lt. Russell Reinhart. LOL
from what i heard Nancy Polusi cut a deal with Obama that she would not fight the NRA if washington let her make the CALIFORNIA pollution standards required nationwide.

I lived in HB for more than 20 years and watched it turn from the original cool "Surf City" into a brand called "Surf City". Yeah, the beach, the surfers, the bikes and the bars are still there but those things are now massively encumbered by the conservatives that prefer the brand over the real thing. Tolerance is now at an all time low..... When the HUGE money started pouring in from the developers a few years ago the cool elements got pretty much squeezed out. But hey, the brand lives on and still pulls in the tourists.... I think HB is going through the same kind of cycle as Laguna Beach. It went from an Art City to a Fart City over a 30 year period. It's sad really how the big money screws things up....
Let's hope Arnold throws that bill in the trash. That bill is so stupid! There are already existing laws for loud exhaust on a motorcycle, but very few cops enforce it. The thing is a lot of cops ride themselves and if they starting enforcing it, they would be big hypocrites. They can pass all the motorcycle loud exhaust bills they want, but if the cops don't enforce it, what good does it do?
So. Cal - was born their. Lived in HB in the 70's across from the ocean/PCH. Great views, lots of smoke, beer and good times. We used to ride our dirt bikes in the empty dirt lots across from the beach. Laguna Beach has been a gay favorite for many years. No money of mine goes their.
One thing about Ca, and the natives born 40+ years ago have seen and will understand this, its the transplants who raped and destroyed this state.
Hard to know what Arnie will do. After all, he is a transplant just like Pelosi and Boxer.
