Well I've got the detatchable backrest hardware and scabbed on to that I've got the Easy Brackets hardware so yes, I guess I have the "Frankenstein Bolt" look. I can't remember what type of bags these are but here's a rear shot of my Deluxe. My only concern is that the bolts are sticking so far out, I worry that they will snap off or bend if I hit a big bump while the bags are fully loaded.

Just got off the phone with Boss Bags, they are real helpful on the phone. Since I am concerned about the bags hugging the scooter, they suggested that I take a look at their new 37 springer model. It's a springer style contoured lid and the back is molded to hug the bike with hardley no gap between the two, unlike the flat back with a bracket. I took a look at their pictures online, pretty nice looking! I kind of like the look from behind. I'm rethinking it now, I kind of think I like the shape for the fatty.
