I had to replace my muffler portion on my D&D Fatcat due to the accident I was in. The one I had before (still in my signature picture) is slanted down and the new one is slanted away from the bike. Is this a change or was the wrong one ordered? I'm not sure if I like it this way??
I remember seeing a picture of yours and it was like mine is now. I assumed you could just rotate it until I went to do it today and it is mounted that way. The muffler is brand new from D&D. I wonder if they changed them?
Mimo- I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. I picked up my bike last Saturday and we left for vacation on Sunday. It rained virtually all week so I only got to ride a couple of times to ride and I'm still trying to work out all the kinks from the repairs...tightening, adjusting, etc. I thought there would be plenty of opportunities to get some good pics while on vacation but record rainfall prevented it.
I think the mystery has been solved. I was looking last night at the D&D website and I believe it's the wrong muffler. It appears to be the Lowcat muffler. The Lowcat muffler has a slight twist away from the bike just like mine. The dealer ordered just the muffler for me because my exhaust was practically new at the time of the wreck and the muffler was all that was damaged. What do you guys think?
I'd advice to leave as it is. Can't hardly notice that. BUT if you're like me (perfectionist, or shall I say OCD) LOL, you'll end up swapping the parts in the end. Relax!
I'll take a pic of mine as I will be working on the bike today. I am putting on Nacelle and passing lamps. I gotta go strip the front end if i ever get a chance.
