Hopefully the picture shows up, but I love the Night Train, but I also love the look of the batwing fairings. I refused to buy a Street Glide because I didn't want the radio, wasn't tall enough, don't want to spend the money, pick a reason. I just wanted something to block the wind that looks a little cooler than just a windshield, so I made one fit. Has anyone else done this? (Not using a memphis shades fairing for the dynas). I found to get the bike to look good with the fairing on and off requires a 7" headlight. With the stock headlight, it was too small and too far recessed in the fairing.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this and how happy they are with the outcome, ie, stability at speed, new noises that aren't present with the fairing removed, any unusual wind flow characteristics to mention. For example, I have quite the updraft of air, which wasn't something I expected.
Feedback, opinions (other than buy a street glide), general comments would be great.
And my girl is not "challenged", just snapped the picture at just the wrong/right time depending on who's telling the story.
Thanks,
Bob

Reason: add 3rd pic
Looks sweet Brotha! Ive never done it before. I don't even own a night train, but I think your right, that 7 inch head light is what makes it all come together nicely, it's always the little things that makes eveything else look right.
Thanks for the nod...the head light was around 70, and the friggin trim ring w/ visor was another 40, but you gotta pay to play I guess. Money aside, I get more compliments on the headlight than anything else.
topdong; pretty awesome look'n shield - I believe this is the 1st Night Glide I've ever seen...;-) Your sweetie looks fine behind the bars - tell her to keep smile'n. Great job!
Looks good with the 7" headlight. Post a pic sometime of the bike without batwing so we can see how the 7" headlight works with the apes on a train. You might start a new fad!
I like the larger headlight with the fairing. Not too sure without. Also I have my apes tilted forward so not Sue if the fairing would fit without pulling them back.
