Anybody use the $3.99 Harbor Freight "Float Charger"? I've got the real thing for my Deluxe, but was thinking about getting one of these cheapies for my metric bike.
Do you guys attach your battery tender only over the winter, or during extended times where you don't ride (e.g. vacation, etc.)?
.
How long do you go on vacation for, that you call it a long period of time? Only during the winter for mine. Bike would never sit longer then a week at any other point in time.
Are you sure you didn't get a charger with he bike? I didn't think they hooked up the connector unless they sold the charger. I guess my first question should be, was ithe bike a new purchase.
Coyote
Bought mine new. Had the connector, but certainly no charger for it. I felt lucky just to get that much.

I don't have a tender, and I don't think I have an attachment to hook it up to the battery, but I'd be interested in getting one... hell for $19.99 I'd probably be stupid not to...
I've always left my other motorcycles parked over the winter without being plugged in. So far haven't ever had a problem come spring starting the bike right up... I guess better to be safe than sorry.
I use it in the winter on mine. During the season I don't because there's no such thing as an extended time when I don't ride.
