You're right. Not going half *** on the suspension. Well season's as good as over here, so I got about 6 months to figure it out. Who knows, maybe those $1500 for the shotguns will turn up.
Regarding the height, they will for sure be the easiest to work with. But is it as easy as it seems to get the suspension working right at the different heights? For a suspension to work right you need to have the stiffness, height, rebound and sag correct. The Shotgun-shocks seems to be a little too easy to be true hehe...
I have Progressive 422's lowered 2" and ride two up every once in a while. Pretty rough ride. I'm at 175 and my wife's at 115. Probly should adjust it when she's on but I don't.
I go 2up sometimes... and I'm down more than 2 inches... I'm running progressive 413's... If the wife wants to ride then she gotta deal with it I ain't crawling under the bike to adjust the shocks.
If you're only going down 2 inches you'll be okay with progressives.
how low can the hi lo air ride and the shotguns go? more than 2''?
Dropped mine almost 4" below stock and i can raise it to 1" above stock (approx 5" of range). And yes it only takes 30 seconds to set it at any hieght while adjusting the firmness of the ride with the 2nd toggle switch. Best Mod yet!
my stock seat hieght was 24 1/4" and when I slam it down it is 20 3/4"
