Default Windshield bag for Heritage

What kind of windshield bags are you guys using? I haven't seen any in person around here, so I will be ordering online. Hard to tell if they are decent when you see them online. Any advice appriciated!

I have the Foxcreek studded on my Heritage. Wife has the Chilhowee plain on hers. Both are excellent well made heavy leather products of similar construction. Mine has been on for 3 years and still looks like new.

On the stock Heritage shield you're going to get rub marks at the two front corners of the bag. I didn't notice them till it was too late to think of some way to prevent it. The closer together metal uprights on the Deluxe shield seem to prevent this from happening on the wife's bike.

Anyone know how to keep the scuff marks off the windshield? I bought one to put on for long trips, but I don't normally want it on, but once I fitted it, I realized what would happen.

I put a couple of foam insulation pieces on mine where it touches the windshield. Did this on my last bike too and it works well. The foam is tape on one side to installation is simple.

Too late for mine but are you saying you attach it to your windshield or to the bag. Seems for it to do any good it'd have to be attached to the windshield. The movement and vibration of the bag is what causes the scuffing of the shield so anything you attach to the bag itself will also rub against the shield. But maybe the foam doesn't scratch the plastic.

I bought one of these on ebay. Synthetic leather so weather doesn't damage it. A great deal for about 20 bucks.

I run the old HD one. Fits great on the factory wind shield and just barley sags so it does not hit the lexan.
