I'm with you on that one .. I don't mind twist'n the throttle if I have to get somewhere in a hurry ... but, to waste a great opportunty to enjoy the sights over the course of 8 hrs is beyond me. I never really cared for the fast track .. Ya miss so much when you're motor'in like that.
I'm more of a stop and smell the flowers or gander at the scenery kinda girl. I love to soak it all in. To me, that's what a road trip is all about.
Simple answer is yes.. I have an 04 fatboy and have ran 75-80 for quite a while with no trouble.
I have to agree with some of the others though and even though the bike can do it, it really isn't much fun
