Well, I've been noticing that my '07 Heritage has been getting a bit loose in turns and when decelerating. So I took a look at my spokes and I have two spokes that will not tighten or loosen. They just spin freely. When I do try to tighten them, the entire spoke moves. They don't seem as if they are going to fall out or push in. They seem secure - just not adjustable. I also noticed at the base of the spoke closest to the axle, the spokes aren't fully seated like the rest of them. I'm clueless on where to begin to fix this. Do I need to shell out the cash for an entire wheel, or can I replace the spokes individually? Also, if the spoke replacement is an option, will I need to remove the rear tire to do so? Thanks, ahead of time.

sounds like either the threads on the spoke or the nipples are stripped.
no problems replacing indivual spokes. yes, the tire needs to come off to replace them.
not sure if harley sells indivual spokes or not.
i used a place called buchannons when i needed indivual spokes for another bike. great service & prices. they can be found online.
I appreciate the response. Talked to my neighbor who is a retired Harley Tech. He told me spray some penetrating liquid on the nut and give it a shot. He has seen some spokes freeze up like this before - didn't even dawn on me to do that. Sure enough, it worked. He also mentioned Buchannon's, too. Again, thanks.
