Softail Deluxe 1st Impressions

Well I picked her up today and made a 40 mile trip home from the dealership. Compared to my old Kawi...well cant even make a comparison really. The handling was superb this bike is so well balanced even though its 100 lbs heavier than the Kawi it actually felt 100 lbs lighter. The Kawi always gave me numb butt the seat on the deluxe put me in a totally different riding position a bit more forward and upright quite comfortable and no numb butt. And 6th gear 75mph and no vibration wow. Cruising the back roads at 40mph never really got out of 3rd gear. The only negitive is the pipes the prior owner put on cycle shack slip ons which are so loud my ears were ringing after a half hour...they gotta go I'm not into obnoxiously loud. In slow traffic i could sure feel the heat off the right side under the seat. I am really happy with my purchase and the dealer was fantastic which I did not expect.
