2010 Heritage....
Hey guys and gals...
I am doing my 1000 mile service and got HD SYN3 for the Primary and Engine oil....
I live in Florida... and was wondering what weight Tranny oil would you recommend down here? I have 20/50 for the Primary and Engine...
As others have stated... Not looing to start a huge debate...
Thanks...

Recommend Syn3 like the others. I run Syn3 in all holes. That way I only have to pack one kind of fluid for trips, I know its always available at any dealership and also at some indy shops.
I switched at 1K service and have 20K+ miles now. For what its worth, I ran Syn3 while in CA and rode to Vegas and all over AZ in vicinity of Sedona, Cave Creek, and all around and through Phoenix in August with no issues of slippage, overheating, etc.
More recently, I installed some cams that significantly increase my torque. With Syn3 I have had no issues of slippage.
Some people suggest staying with dino oil for break in reasons. Dino oil tends to goop up and get into nook and crannies better so folks like it during break in. It helps seal up gaskets and seals; prevents leaks. That said, all the CVO bikes come with Syn3 from the factory and don't normally hear about them shooting oil out everyplace. Either way, the 1K service is a good time to switch. And if you are already doing the primary and engine, why not do the tranny at the same time?
