I just bought a 2000 Harley Davidson Deuce with a big bore kit, chrome mag wheel in the front, chrome stock looking rear wheel in the back, all kinds of chrome work done to it, and extras on it for $9200. It had 28,000 miles on it.
Yours sound like a very good deal, now go and buy it before it is gone !
Bobby.
That seems like a great deal to me. I thought about trading my '03 w/ 20k miles for a StreetGlide this fall yet...the dealer said $10k on trade, that's without seeing it...I would jump on that if I was you!
Thanks. Told the seller that I am his buyer, assuming the bike is as good a condition as he promises. Problem is, that we can't hook up till Saturday to check the bike. Hope someone doesn't swoop in and steal it from me! Oh well, if it is still available, maybe he is worried it will not sell this late in the season and I can negotiate him down to $6,500!
Deuce is a great softail. When I bought mine the wife said she didn't want to ride, she changed her mind. We do a lot of two and three day rides and sport hard bags, not much room for 'stuff'. If you're riding two up you may need to buy a better seat, we have a "Sundowner" and even it isn't 'cushie' enough for her tushie. Get used to the phrase, " fit's all but Deuce ", you're gonna read that a lot, LOL. Got mine paid down enough, (finally), that I can start doing some mods soon, WHOOP !!! Price seems fair for a good bike, good luck, Dennis.

Thanks, Dennis. But, who said my wife will be invited along for rides?? It already has a Corbin seat, but the passenger portion doesn't look comfy for long rides.
I got to thinking - take a look at the gas tank in the picture I posted (several posts up) of the Deuce I am looking at buying. Notice anything? Took me awhile, but then I realized there are no H-D decals on the tank. I checked around online and all pictures of 2001 Deuces had a "Harley Davidson" decal on the tank.
The paranoid guy in me started to wonder why. i know some may take off the badging, repaint, etc., but I am now wondering if the tank was replaced, possibly due to damage.
