Default Stage 1 alternatives?

I want more power! Then again, who doesnt. Nothing crazy, but i want new exhaust and a fuelpak, and of course a stage 1. Are there better intake upgrades out there? Is there any reason to buy from harley in this case? Iv heard their air filter is pretty lame. Whose got suggestions and where should i get them from?

I know i had to replace my stage 1 airfilter around 2k miles..the inside rubber seperated from the element. I took it back to the dealer and they told me they couldnt do anything about it. I went with a K&N.

That is bullshit, another reason I won't buy from a dealer unless I have no ther choice.

The big sucker is good. It comes with a K&N filter that is good "for a million miles." I run the Roland Sands Design Venturi Air cleaner which has a K&N filter as well. It is a little more expensive but is really nice looking. Whatever you need, let me know and I can get you a great deal. As far as tuners, the fuelpak is sufficient, but if you plan on changing anything more than air filter and exhaust ever, get a power commander or a TTS.

I could not have said it better myself, thank you.

Also, @Murderface, you can also go with the K&N Stage 1 and Stage 2:

If you are looking for a bit more power, you can go with one of the K&N RK-kits. The RK-3909 added 7 HP @ 5K RPM at the wheel, and the RK-3910 added 12.05 HP @ 5k RPM at the wheel; BUT the RK-3930 sticks out a lot more under the stock cover. The RK kits cost more, but they will add a very noticeable difference, even without pipes and a tuner/rejet.

You can also go with one of the Airchargers, 63-1125P
or 63-1125. Both added 10.21 HP @ 4953 RPM at the wheel and they have the Heavy Breather look.
