Default SE Race Tuner

I just got my 07 Deuce and the guy I bought it from said the owner before him put a SE Race Tuner on. I pulled the seat today and did not see any kind of module between the harness and ECM. I got nothing with the bike and the previous owner didnt know anything about the bike itself except to ride it.
The bike runs like it has something. Its fast as sh*t and there is no popping. It has a SE intake and V&H Shortshots with baffles so I am concerned if no fuel management system is on it.
Someone said I should have had a disc and wire to adapt from the harness to my pc.
I know nothing about the SE Race Tuners

Without that how can I find out if there is any fuel management system is on my bike?

The SE tuner is a program. It's software on the bike however there is a module that has that program that you take to dealer. Mine is in a little white box in my safe just waiting to get lost....It's just like a care one you program the ECM on the bike or car and then the module is then stored for later use. It's also matched to the bike. So if you need to change the tune on your bike you may have to buy a new one and start over..

So I can not even put the bike back to stock if I want to go with a Power Commander or something else? I do not plan on doing any engine work to the bike, but I would like to know what, if anything, is in the ECM

Guaranteed you have a custom fuel management map over written on your stock ecm. He is correct that you need th "box" 2 further alter the map but why since its running the way you described. SERT is th highest performance available but with out a dyno w/a sniffer & a few hundred maps under tall the

Can you contact the guy you bought the bike from and see if either he or the original owner has the hardware for your bike? Since the SERT can be used for only ONE vehicle, it is completely useless to whoever now has it, unlike other modules which are physically connected to their bikes.

I asked him about it and he knew nothing and got nothing from the original owner. I just want to make sure it has something because of HD's lean issues. Another thing Im also concerned about is not being able to put the bike to stock. If I do decide to make any changes or have it dyno tuned, I can't.

The sert is an interface to allow your computer to talk to the ecm. It is not installed on your ride.

The sert software allows you to change the tables used in the ecm. Once you have changed them you use the interface to flash write the new programming to the ecm.

If the original owner still has it he basically has a brick. The first time you hook it up it marries itself to that ecm. Won't work on any other.

If you use a alternate fuel management whoever tunes it can work around the program in the ecm.

You would have to have a copy of the stock map to flash it back to stock. I know of no one that has the stock maps. The sert cannot read what's in there. You start with a base map that's close to the components on your ride and tune from there.
