That looks interesting....just looked at their website. Does that put any meachanical stress on the fender? Hmmm.... it does look very comfortable!

Anyone else have any long term use input? I am using a fat boy lo seat on my fat boy standard and I am happy with the fit, but a backrest would be sweet for long rides.

Regards,
Larry

I have been running one for two years and could not ride far without it after two back surgeries.

I've had mine for a couple of months and I love it. Not what I'd consider long term, but so far there's no evidence of undue stress on the fender where the seat hold down bolts poke through. I'm not too worried about it because in my normal sitting position the back rest provides just enought support to keep me from slouching. There's not much pressure on the backrest in my case. Anyway, the thing made all the difference for me.

Are you using the grasshopper one? I see a Firehouse brand also, just curious which one is better.

I'm using the Grasshopper. I remember maybe one or two earlier threads that talked to the Firehouse also, do a search. As I recall, both brands got high marks overall.

A backrest is next on my list of must-do's. Anything over a hundred miles now becomes an ordeal for my lower back.
