Changing Throttle Cables...
Hi Guys,
The work continues on my Fatty, and now I am about to attempt to swap out the throttle cables for braided ones...
Questions is... Do I need to remove the tank? Please tell me there is an easy way.

On my Rocker, I didn't need to remove the tank when I installed my braided cables. I was able to sneak them down after loosening the tank enough to lift it to clear a bit.

Nope. Gotta pull the tank. Its easy. If its EFI the fuel line is a quick coupler and you cut the clamps on the front balance line and the dash is one nut and a few elec conectors. Good time to fab up a tank lift too.

Or you can jsut slide the tank back by removing the front and rear bolts and unplugging the gas line. It sure is easier to get in there with the tank slid back.

OK.. I had a look at the balance line. If I disconnect it, surely the tank will empty itself on my floor. So... best to drain it first I guess.
I have the tank all undone, but cant get enough room.
What a pain!!

Take the squeeze clamp off of the main pressure like and installa long line going into a coffee can or somthing and turn the key on and let the pump do the work.

I'm telling you, just slide the tank back as opposed to getting gas everywhere. No matter how neat you are, it will spill somewhere.
