I'm having trouble adjusting my idle cable. It just seems to be loose. I don't understand the purpose of that cable. I watched the youtube video on it but it doesn't seem to do the same thing on my bike. How do you recommend adjusting them?
Its a pull-pull system. The best way to adjust them is to undo both the adjusters until the throttle has a lot of play in it. Then turn the bars all the way to the right and adjust until the throttle is tight, but without binding.
Then turn the bars to the left and adjust again to take out the slack. Test by turning bars both ways.
