Default Throttle cable replacement

I have replaced my clutch and brake lines with braided SS. I would like to replace the throttle cables as well but I don't want to mess with the tank. What I am wondering is if I can tape the new to the old and pull the new cables as I remove the old?

Thanks.

I'm not 100 peraent sure. But I believe there are some clips in there that might snag it, and i don't know if it will scratch the paint. Have you tried tugging on them now to see if they loose enough to pull? You might try it and if it works sweet, if not then your going to have to pull the tank. I'm sure someone more experiance then me will chime in.

Take the dash off & take front tank bolt out & the rear screw. Lift the tank up a few inches & pull the cables through. It will be a lot easier. To get the panel back down spray windex on the rubber sleeve & the tank will slide back down.

Highly unlikely you can make it work. I just swapped mine when I did my build and had the tank off. Pretty close quarters in there, not to mention the clips as creed said. If the cables were straight, I would give you the definite possibility of a firm maybe, but with the 90* bends, don't think so. Taking the tank off isn't a big deal like I thought it was before I had to.
