Default Night Train Scraping

So I like to ride my Night Train pretty aggressive around the corners and every know and then I scrape. I never really paid to much attention to it as I thought it was my kickstand that I has hitting, but today I was doing a little cleaning and as it turns out I've been carving my primary cover. So how much more do I have before it wears all the through? I guess my options are to raise it back up (not gonna happen) or start saving up the an air ride.

I've done that on mine too. I hit one of those yellow reflectors and knocked a hole in mine. Didn't change the way I ride though. I thought about raising it back up, but that is as far as I've gotten with that. I think Shotgun shocks are on my Christmas list.

I've really been looking into the Shotgun system and I really haven't planned on changing my riding style either. How much better is the shotgun set up vs platinum? I know they were both designed by the same person, but 1500 vs 1000 is a big price difference in my book.

So with my primary cover its a pretty smooth grove where I've been scraping and I don't know how much more before I rub a hole in it.

the last time i had my primary off it looked to be about 1/4" thick, so it looks like you got about 100-200 more scrapes until leak time.. LOL..

do they make skid plates that fit snug against the covers ?

I haven't seen any sort of skid plate like that, but I haven't looked either. Well depends on what road I'm on, but 100 scrapes could be here before I know it.
