Got it for $5000., brought it home today. Will get some pics up this weekend, but I started working on the chrome today and it is going to clean up nice. Got an electrical issue with turn sigs, but i think we have narrowed it down. this bike is fat. 3800 miles, it is f'ing bad ***. I am so stoked i can't tell ya'. I thought i was going to have to replace chrome, but I think 90% is gonna shine like the moon. Has been sitting in this cart barn for 5 years, the owner has 6 Harleys, just blows my mind I found this one, can't believe it. Maybe one day when i win the lottery I will have enough money to let a bad *** Harley sit unused for 5 years, YEAH RIGHT! Anyway, i will get some pics up ASAP
Alright, I've been busting my *** all weekend to get my new baby cleaned up, so check it out and let me know how it looks to ya. Seriously, this bike has been sitting in a metal building that houses golf carts for 5 years, 3800 miles, bore kit installed, custom paint, leather saddlebags and tour pack, and you can see all the chrome this guy added. Unbelievable, and she is mine oh yeah! Check it out at http://sumrell.smugmug.com/Motorcycl...ing-Cleaned-Up
It is running fine, I have an electrical issue though. It has an aftermarket alarm system on it that is not hooked up as far as I can tell. But I think I have a ground problem. The turn signals do not work, I changed all the bulbs but that did not help. Took it for a spin yesterday and all the lights quit except the brake light which only works when the brake is engaged, so I blew a fuse I guess. I am going to take it to the Harley shop next week and let them uninstall the alarm and trouble shoot the light situation. Other than that it couldn't be better, it runs like a scalded dog.
A steal for $5K. The previous owner spent some bucks on bling and custom stuff; she is one of a kind. I would replace tires and all fluids and start watching for leaks as you roll up miles; seals may have dried up an may come back or may not. I think you could sell it like it is for $9K. I prefer the earlier models, they may not have fat rear tires, 96" and six speed transmissions but they are bullet proof.
