Default been a while

Since my last post---but since; I've become soft. I went to buy a windshield last week and my parts guy told me to wait until 6-7 Oct. The world poker tour is coming here and there is a 15% sale for those two days. So, I'll pick up my windshield then. Yep, everyone I ride with has talked me into getting one. I love the wind in my face; but I want this comfort they speak of. Plus, I got caught in the rain the last time I rode and it hurt like heck. Guys with windshields had little to no problems. Talk soon!!!! If you're in Fayetteville, NC---stop by Cape Fear HD for this sale. It's rare to get this type of sale without having to order from Zanottis

If you cut the windshield at nose level you still get wind in the face and protection!

Buy it from Zanotti's - you'll save yourself $75-$80

I hear ya..

Up here in Ashe-vegas, it's starting to get a bit nipply in the morning.. Reminds me of the "Dumb and Dummer" scene when they pull into the ski-town with frozen snot on the side of their head from the cold ride in. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

I'm considering breaking out the windshield myself.. because a dang full-face just ain't gonna cut it.. Just can't stand looking at my scoot with a windsheild on it.. On a heritage or heritage style (deluxe) bike, it's cool, but just looks about as good as socks on a rooster on a Fatboy without bags.

I guess it's being cool or being comfortable.

OR, here's an option, just for some added comfort.. A baklava (or something like that). basically a black ski mask with one big hole.. Keeps the ears toasty and some protection from being "sand-blasted" by rain and freezing to death when it's less than summer weather.
If I can only find mine.. in the garage somewhere.

Maybe I'll try to find those things in my garage too. I'm wimping out though------I'm going for the windshield. I want that comfort on the interstate[8D]

Can't blame you.. It's nice. I always put it on for the long trips.. It's just too easy.. wind doesn't beat you to death.. detachability is very convenient.. Typically, when I get to the destination, all the stuff (windsheild, bags, sissybar) come off and go into the hotel room.. Then it's a nice naked cruiser again.
