I have the fullsize one. Don't really like the looks of it. Never had one when I was 19-21.

Now everytime I go on the interstate I put it on. I get beat up alot less. No worries about gravel trucks. Around town, I take it off. I love riding without, but realize I need it sometimes. Don't like to face up to that, but it's true

I have the low profile which worked fine for me until I changed my seat which raised me about 2 inches. now plan on getting a full sized and cutting it down to about nose level. I like to look slightly over my shield. And like others have stated above, I rarely take mine off.

height difference between low and king is 3"

Might not be worth it. Maybe get the oversize one? I'd suggest buying from somewhere other than HD so you can get a thicker shield. At full height, the shield flops around a lot.

I'd be ok with 3" as long as the shield don't flop. Thanks for the info.

The "Deflectors" are really fantastic for those of us who don't like to have our head beaten about while we're doing freeway speeds. I really like mine (wouldn't ride 55+ Mph without them....really reduces the buffeting by at least 50% if not more)

Just my .02

***I'm not too fond of the looks, but I wouldn't ride too much without them.....can't read the darn signs on the freeways......he-he-he............I'd blame it on my poor eye-sight, but it's really due to the buffeting on the Deluxe with King shield!

With my shield properly adjusted, I get very little head buffeting and only on occasion. I much prefer the look of a cut down shield vs. the wind deflectors.

I really hate using a windsheild except in really cold weather or on the interstate. I prefer the wind. I have the full size Deluxe windshield and the top is right in my line of sight. I just cut off 3" and I am going to ride with it some before cutting any more off. I may end up taking another inch or two off.

I've got the deflectors on my 05 Heritage Classis along with the stock windshield. I don't think I could get along without them. I do notice more turbulance around the ankle area. But thats a lot better than on the chin.

Could someone explain to me what the deflectors are and where they mount. And also what head buffeting really is. I also just purchased the Nostalgic standard for my wifes Deluxe. She is about 5'4" and the top of the shield comes about to the middle of her forehead, so she will definately be looking through it. I think I will stay with the standard height and we find it to tall we can always cut it down. Speaking of cutting it down can someone tell me what they used to cut theirs or did you have someone do it for you.
Thanks
