Hub put the HD quick release windshield on his. At first he swore he did not want a windshield but after he rode my Sporty without one then with one he decided it was a pretty good idea. I don't think it takes away from the look of the bike at all.

I have the King size nostalgic....nice looking shield but was a bit tall for me. Had it cut down 3 inchs and it's great.....a few others have done the same. At full size with crosswinds it had a lot of flex, but that seems to have changed since the cut down (mind you we have some big winds out here called Santa Anas when I say crosswind I am talking 25 + mph).

HD also sells a short nostalgic which is smoked.

I bought the kingsize but cut it down 3" so now it ends up the height of the short one. Clear though, which is good anyhow because I didn't want a smoked one and the shorty isn't available clear.

I chose the height by borrowing ones from the dealer off used bikes and using them as a guide.

I have the full size nostalgic screen on a Deluxe. I look through it and have no problems. I absolutely could not ride as far into winter as I do without it. I would not want to ride without it when it's cold. Its detachable and literally takes seconds to remove or install it. I recommend it.

I highly recommend it - have the King size nostalgic detachable on my Deluxe. Did a 4-day ride last weekend, the first day of which had pouring rain - really helps keep the rain off of your front! I would recommend also buying the chrome wind deflectors which are only about $45. They reduce the head buffeting by at least 90% that's caused by the windshield.

I've been considering the deflectors....Not much on the look of them but I wore a 3/4 on our vacation and a few times, especially in wind and cooler weather, I was puting a hand under my chin to cut down the wind and debris a bit.

I have the full size windshield and like it a lot. It has saved my bacon a number of times when trucks kicked up dirt and stones. Bugs hit the screen and not my eyeglasses. I find the bike heavy enough to handle the wind without problems. We get very powerfull winds blowing down the Columbia River gorge and the bike stays on track. The buffeting is not fun but the bike is rock solid.

"Bluerose" Harley makes a neat little leather mask with a velco fastener at the back. Its fleece backed and you put it around your neck and can pull it up over your face or chin if it gets cold. Lots of riders in the NW use them with 1/2 size helmets. Protects your neck and face from the cold wind. You look like the "Lone Ranger" when its pulled up over your face.

I purchased the fullsize windshield. I love it and on nice days, when I remove it to cruise around town, I always end up turning around to put it back on.....can't live without it!!!
