Have an 08 FLSTC with the laced profiled rims. I am looking for a new front rim which is 16x300D. I know that 07 up uses a 1" inside diameter bearings and axle. Before that was 3/4".
If I buy a 06 rim do I just change the 3/4'' bearings to 1'' and reuse my stock 1" axle?
Could it be that simple or am I missing something? Would the OD of the bearings be the same?
Also from what I read the 08 rim should be 16x3.5. Mine is 16x3.0. I know it went in service in april 08. Did the rim size change
not me.
So the 06 earlier had the 3.5 rims and the 07 newer have the 3.0?
same hub size though and bearing would interchange. Obviously I wont go that route but just curious
Thanks
