I remember when they came out in 84 in the bike magazines. I thought at the time it was the best conglomeration of motorcycle parts assembled of any bike I had ever seen. I had just bought an 84 Sportster, and could not afford to trade up, but I knew that I would own one someday. I finally got my 99 FXSTC last year, and It is everything I thought it would be. I have put 10,000 miles on it, and still can't wipe the grin off my face every time I ride it. Guess that about says it all.

Sold my 84 FSXT in 04 so I could buy my TC. Wish I had kept it. I've been looking for another one in stock configuration but haven't had much luck. It was a great bike. I did find one but didn't have the $$$$ when I found it.

Brings back memories. I had saved up to buy a new Wideglide in '83. I went to the local dealership where a club brother worked in the summer of '83. He "YA GOTTA SEE WHAT IS IN THE BACK." He took me to the back where no one who wasn't invited could see, and there was a blue softtail. It was the first Evo motor I ever saw too. It was $7500 versus $6500 for the Shove Wideglide. I didn't buy the Wideglide, waited for a candy red Softy!
