Default 2 up seat

I need to keep my bike set up for riding 2 up, I was wondering if the luggage rack is the only thing keeping me from putting a one piece seat on my Deluxe. Everybody I know with a Deluxe must be single because they all have solo seats on them. I want to be able to put on a one piece seat possibly from another model, I was just curious if anyone knew if it would go right on without the luggage rack.Any help would be great.

You are correct, any one-piece seat made for a late-model softail will work, as long as you remove the passenger pillion and luggage rack. You can put them back on with 3 bolts when you need to. Also, the frame already has threaded holes on the side if the seat you're using is mounted that way. You just need to remove the plastic grommets/covers and purchase the correct bolts and washers. Hope this helps...

I have the standard HD 2 up seat with adjustable driver backrest with a sissy bar and bags. The seat bolts to the sides and one screw in the back, which is easy to get to between the backrest and end of the seat .The seat was given to me by the dealer which retails for,I believe for 599.00 .Pricey but the driver backrest is an option I enjoy.Reclines back about 30 degrees and is great for long hauls .Can be seen in the 2005 catalog ..
