These billet mirrors from HD

They're very solid with regards to vibration and a super wide field of view.

I got these via Demon Cycle-South - great value, however, a shorter stem would be preferred.

I think when you go apes it looks goofy with the mirrors hanging way up there. I took my right one and put it upside down on the left side, riding down the road I can see the right curb behind me and everything to the left also. Works for me.

I did the same as everyone else and flipped the stock ones upside down.I have to be honest and tell you I can never get them adjusted right and always have problems seeing stuff in them.I am putting them back in the stock location. But I am thinking about getting some PM Torque mirrors. It seems they would be a good balance between looks and functionality in the upright location. They are pretty pricey though. But PM makes high quality parts.

Mine is adjusted so that I can see pretty much everything I would need to see. I like to cut my field of view a little short, so it forces me to look over my shoulder. I went with one and wanted it for the right side, so I needed a left side mirror. I figured my right hand would pretty much always be on the grip. We had the mirrors upside down on the wife's iron and if I put my left hand in my lap, my arm blocked the mirror. I got lucky, I knew I wanted the dome mirriors from HD, but even if parted seperately, they were about 100 each. I found a guy selling a left side mirror brand new on ebay for $19.95 buy it now. It was like a sign from god. I don't think I have ever clicked so fast in my life. Seems he bought the set only intending on using the right mirror on a custom build he was doing.

In my sig pic, it looks like my arm is blocking the mirror, but that was with the stock bars, with the 14s pushed forward a bit, I can see fine.....

Another option...I ran these mirrors flipped under my apes for a long while and really liked them. These are stock Harley mirrors you can get from any dealer...they are the old round design and only run about 20 bux a piece.

They have a pretty good size mirror (visiblilty is good) and have that old school flavor. Another positive is the stem is fairly short keeping the mirrors tucked into the bars better than other mirrors.

Just a couple of photos, you can kind of see them from the front and rear of the bike.

I run Kuryakyn Scythes, they only work on top, if you flip them and hang them under, you lose alot of viewable area.
