Thanks man. I love the looks of my new pipes. too bad I had to loose the chrome inner primary cover. it was in the way.
Bike looks great.I was still able to use my HD chrome inner primary cover with my Samson cholos. It was a bit of a PITA to make it work but it can be done.I had to cut some of the cover with a Dremel so the shift rod would not bind on it but thats it.After it was cut I polished the cut edge and it looks like factory chrome you cant tell the difference. And you cant even see the cut edge as it faces towards the motor.I can send you close up pics if need be.

In my case, the shifter rod was not the problem. The U pipe sits too low and could not connect with the cross over pipe. Without the inner primary cover, it's ok. I'd love to see pics though.

If anyone has any problems with Samson exhaust please give us a call so we may be able to help you. We want you to be satisfied with anything Samson makes.
Thank you,
JR
Mcrider, I ran into the same problem on mine. I installed the 33s longtails, and I had to remove my inner cover, it wouldnt fit with the pipe that comes down. Ive talked to a couple of people on here, and they run into the same problem, no biggie, just will have to install the entire chromed primary.

I had problems with the u pipe being close as well that was the real PITA part. You just need to turn the head pipe upwards a little until it clears the rear of the inner cover.Same bikes, same exhaust It can be done with a little fiddling of the head pipe .Pm me your email and I will shoot you some close up pics .Dont let that chrome cover go unused. If I can do it any one can.If you search Malingerers Gangster Style Deluxe in the Softail Section you can see some pics with the inner cover and cholos.
