Just talked to the dealer,said oil pump bad,the accentric in it went out.Ends up there is too much runout on the crank.Plus there is brass shavings in the motor.The new motor will be here Monday.Man,thats a relief.I thought I was going to be stuck with a new bike that had been tore apart and put back together.Im glad I didnt get pissed and start threatning to woop somebodys ***,but I was close.It seems to be working out.I keep you posted on the other problems,but the motor was the main thing.

I'd be reeeeeally concerned about the brass shavings in your engine.. What did they swirl around in your engine and have enough time to do in terms of damage?

Might request root cause analysis be performed at the factory and respond back to you on what corrective actions are being performed to prevent this type of recurrence.. just for giggles.. Could ya guess I'm a Quality Engineer? An assembly failure, or supplied component failure from a moco supplier, or possibly some other failed component causing the damage?
