**** drew i keep trying to not steal your ideas but this one i might jack!!! As for the drilling the way i would do it drill it to the size of the current shifter and you rubber cement or rtv to hold it in place more of a cap is what im thinking bro.

Freakin awesome. So, your goin to clear coat it huh? you might want to take it to a ceramic coater after the clear coat, and have them put it in a ceramic oven for alittle bit. Just sayin, the devil is way kewl too.

Too funny. If I do not clear coat it the paint will ear off in a matter of days. Epoxy will crack it as will regular clear coat. It is all a learning experience, and this mod only cost me $14.99, so I figure if it gets messed up I can get another and do it all over again. I am going to pick up One Shot paint for the next one if there is one.
