Ok guys was able to get further on the project last night with help from WARG. First off got the internal throttle from Streamline and looked like a well designed product out of the box but ran into issues with it. First one was the instructions sucked. Wording was way to small and the sentences ran off the paper so you did not get the full instruction on a few steps. No color pictures which would have helped a lot. Second was that their product will not work with a stock HD switch housing and switches. The inner tube is just to long. I modified it with a little shade tree know how. I called Streamline this am and expressed my findings. Also third I had to drill the cam bearing housing out a 1/16" on each side do to the cam bearings hitting the grip. But all is good now and I will have better pictures when the throttle cable arrives next week. Not to hard to do this just have to step back and think on how to make it work. Ordered the cable from Magnum Shielding this am and total cable housing length was 51 1/4" and the cable was 58" on my bike.
Here is a picture of the inner tube that I had to cut down. It was designed to wedge itself inside the bar to keep from coming out. But I just drilled the bar under the switch housing and placed three set screws to keep it in place.
Fire, can you give me some more details of cutting the internal throttle. Did you hit the wires of the switchhousing? Did your length of your right grip increase?
