IS ANYONE ROCKING THAT SIDE MOUNTED LICENSE PLATE I CANT FIND ANY PICS OF HOW IT MOUNTS OR ANYTHING ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED. GOING TO GET THIS WHILE IM IN JAPAN MY REAR FENDER IS GOING TO BE GETTING STRECHED AND IM GOING TO DO AWAY WITH ALL THE LIGHTS AND GET IT SMOOTHED OUT. I THINK THIS PLATE MOUNT WOULD LOOK NICE BUT DONT KNOW IF IT WILL EVEN WORK.
Dude, save about $120 and get the one almost idential from Road 6 on ebay for about 60 bucks. I had one, never mounted it. I gave it to a buddy who wrecked his bike. The light is bright and it looks real clean. Mounts to the axle
Check out this guy's ride, too. SICK. He has his frenched in, as well. If I could find somebody to fit a fender like this over my 200 tire and match the paint, I'd totally do it.
I'm not knocking the guys with the frenched plates and lights but I just want it streched and simple more my stlye not brake lights no nada.hoggymtn if your serious about getting your fender done pm me and I'll ask my homie how much he charges but the paint is goin to be on you because he he just does the metal
Hey BOBBER, just my 2 cents here but that plate mount and brake light looks more like a kit that belongs on an old Knucklehead/Panhead/Shovelhead/Ironhead style chopper.
I like the look of the plate centered somewhere on the rear fender on newer Softails, either high or low and layed back or close to the fender...to me it just flows with the lines and style of the newer FL bikes. The plate kicked off to the side with the brake light above (especially the one in the link you've posted) is more fitting of a chopped up old school bike.
Again, just my 2 cents...in the end, it's all about where you want to go with the lines of your bike.
And so far, you've done an excellent job...so whatever you choose I'm sure it'll be ****!
